A perfect match of concrete & Steni Nature

For a year and a half, work has been underway on the Zonneflat, Maanflat, and Siriusflat on Blaauwweg in Dordrecht. The 198 homes spread across 3 blocks have undergone a transformation, including in the area of sustainability. It was a major project with significant impact for the residents. Peace has now returned, the entrances have been refreshed, and the homes are ready for the future.

Metamorphosis inside and out

In addition to the sustainability efforts, the homes also received an exterior facelift. Most of the homes got a new bathroom, toilet, and kitchen. Safety was also considered, as the intercom was replaced with a video phone. And for added convenience, an E-bike storage facility was created.

The exterior also received significant attention. The entrances underwent a metamorphosis, and the residential buildings were painted in a different color, chosen by the residents themselves. For the renovation of the entrance, after a short search, Steni Nature Ice Age in natural stone granulate size Coarse proved to be a perfect match with the existing concrete parts. This, combined with the fixed L-shapes, gives a view as if it had always been this way.

Festive handover with activities for the residents

To officially commemorate the completion, Trivire and Van Wijnen organized a festive gathering for the residents on Wednesday, September 14, 2022. Tinka van Rood, executive of housing corporation Trivire, and Martin de Jong, director at Van Wijnen, marked the completion by exchanging a symbolic key. There were also various activities for the residents.
