Hotel Hoge Duin

Modern Architecture and Sustainable Design with Steni Facade Cladding
The existing beach hotel has undergone a complete renovation and has been significantly expanded on several fronts. The hotel is situated atop a dune with a unique panoramic view of the sea, the village of Wijk aan Zee, and the surrounding dunes. The capacity has been increased from 66 to 118 rooms, and it now features a fully renovated restaurant and terrace with a fantastic view. The hotel also offers extensive wellness facilities, a fitness room, and three meeting rooms.
Project details
After this thorough renovation led by Swan Art & Build, the building has combined its classical charm with contemporary architecture. The transformation emphasizes a harmonious connection with the natural environment while meeting the desires of modern guests. One of the most striking aspects of the renovation is the facade cladding, which plays an important role in the hotel's new visual character.
The facade is clad with zinc, wood, and Steni Vision. The Steni decor in corten steel gives the facade a robust, rust-brown appearance with an organic effect. This choice strengthens the link with nature, as the facade beautifully blends with the dunes and the sea that embrace the hotel.
The renovation was carried out by Tervoort's Bouw, who took care of the execution of the construction works. Tervoort's Bouw meticulously ensured the integration of the design and the use of innovative materials.
